Ale maleństwo. Jaką jasność gwiazdową posiadała sonda podczas wykonywania tej fotografii?

Ozyrys przeleciał w pobliżu Ziemi
22.09. o 16:51 w odległości 17237 km od Ziemi przeleciała sonda OSIRIS-REx, wykonując manewr grawitacyjny
w drodze do planetki (101955) Bennu.

OSIRIS-REx asteroid mission receives gravitational boost from planet Earth
September 22, 2017 Stephen Clark

(...) Friday’s flyby imparted a change in OSIRIS-REx’s velocity of around 8,451 mph — nearly 3.8 kilometers per second — around twice the adjustment possible if the spacecraft dedicated all of its fuel to the maneuver. (...)

“It was a way to substantially save on resources, either on the spacecraft or on the launch vehicle, or both,” said Dante Lauretta, OSIRIS-REx’s principal investigator from the University of Arizona. (...)

NASA expected to regain communications with OSIRIS-REx around 1740 GMT (1:40 p.m. EDT), and the spacecraft was to begin collecting imagery and calibration data with its science instruments around four hours after closest approach at a distance of approximately 60,000 miles (100,000 kilometers) from Earth. (...)

According to Lauretta, OSIRIS-REx’s three imaging cameras will look back at Earth and the moon for up to 10 days after the encounter, capturing close-up and long-range views, including a family portrait of the Earth-moon system. (...)

Images from the flyby will be released Tuesday, officials said. (...)

Sonda Osiris-Rex przeleciała w pobliżu Ziemi
BY MICHAŁ MOROZ ON 25 WRZEŚNIA 2017

The OSIRIS-REx spacecraft (circled in green) was photographed on Sept. 16, 2017 (at 6:08 UTC) by amateur astronomer David Rankin from a location near Big Water, Utah in the United States. The image, which shows the #spacecraft at 21st magnitude, has a total exposure time of 26 minutes and has been cropped and magnified. This is the second image to be taken by an individual observer for the #SpotTheSpececraft campaign. OSIRIS-REx is currently headed toward home for an #EarthGravityAssist maneuver on Sept. 22. OSIRIS-REx Views the Earth During Flyby
September 26, 2017

A color composite image of Earth taken on Sept. 22 by the MapCam camera on NASA’s OSIRIS-REx spacecraft. This image was taken just hours after the spacecraft completed its Earth Gravity Assist at a range of approximately 106,000 miles (170,000 kilometers). MapCam is part of the OSIRIS-REx Camera Suite (OCAMS) operated by the University of Arizona. Visible in this image are the Pacific Ocean and several familiar landmasses, including Australia in the lower left, and Baja California and the southwestern United States in the upper right. The dark vertical streaks at the top of the image are caused by short exposure times (less than three milliseconds). Short exposure times are required for imaging an object as bright as Earth, but are not anticipated for an object as dark as the asteroid Bennu, which the camera was designed to image. (...)
