To byłoby coś bardzo ciekawego!Od dawna nic na Wenus nie poleciało.
Q: I'd love to hear your take on this! When you send a Venutian probe, will it be looking life?Peter: Yes, that’s the goal.https://twitter.com/peter_j_beck/status/1305606071369621506Peter: The plan is to seperate a probe off the main photon spacecraft and enter that in to the clouds to sample.https://twitter.com/peter_j_beck/status/1305610387505647616Q: Would Photon then stay in Venus’s orbit? Or just a flyby?Peter: Atmospheric entry probe with a flyby from the main bus.https://twitter.com/peter_j_beck/status/1305611014340141056
Prof Sara Seager has been talking to @rocketlab - they would have a spacecraft that is about 15 kg so you're payload would have to be about 3 kg - quite a challenge, but exciting that they are thinking about it.
Q: If the development of the interplanetary Photon progresses faster than planned, would it be possible to send this probe in 2021Peter: Not really, May 2023 transit time to Venus is 160 days, in 2021 it’s over a year to just get there.
