Wiadomo, że przyszli indyjscy astronauci szkolili się w CPK w Rosji. Natomiast niedawno pojawiła się w mediach informacja, że będą oni szkolili się w także w NASA:
ndian astronauts will now be trained along with their American counterparts at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. The decision comes after the recent meeting between Ajit Doval, the national security advisor, and his American equivalent, Jake Sullivan, in Washington DC yesterday. Officials of NASA or National Aeronautical and Space Agency and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) were also present during the meeting.
The decision is particularly important as Indian astronauts (also called Gaganauts keeping in mind India’s space programme) have been trained only in Russia in the past. All four are trained Indian Air Force officers. The USA will work with India on its manned space flight programme in several other ways.
