Start ciężkiego Falcona
  29.04. o 14:13:00 z KSC wystrzelona została RN Falcon Heavy, która wyniosła na orbitę satelitę ViaSat 3.3 (ViaSat 3 APAC).
Boczne stopnie RN wylądowały na LZ-40 (B1072.2) i LZ-2 (B1075.22), stopień centralny (B1098.1) nie został odzyskany.

Launch pad for Russian rockets dismantled in French Guiana

A launch pad in French Guiana, formerly used for launching Russian Soyuz rockets, has been dismantled. The European Space Agency removed the main elements of the complex, including the 52-meter service tower, which was destroyed by explosion. Prior to this, key launch pad structures — supports that held the rocket before launch, and auxiliary masts — were cut, according to The Moscow Times.

The remaining infrastructure, such as technical buildings, railway, and fuel storage systems, is planned to be transferred to the French company MaiaSpace. It will use these facilities for launching a new rocket, with its first launches expected in 2027. (...)

(...) MaiaSpace also still prints on Russian paper called Snegurochka. Its pale blue packaging features snowy landscapes, which appear incongruous compared to the jungle surrounding the building.

Outside, the hulking infrastructure is now a testament to a long-gone era of space cooperation.

The metal arms that once held rockets on the launchpad are still standing. Ironically, they are painted in blue and yellow -- the colours of Ukraine. But they will be discarded during the redevelopment of the site. (...)

Wysadzono hangar na rakiety Sojuz ST na kosmodromie Kourou. Czyli mamy potwierdzenie, że ten złom nie będzie już latał. Póki co sama wyrzutnia nadal się kurzy i porasta mchem.

Hi, Astronomer here! I'm a voting member of the IAU and so am Twitter's only authority on this matter. I don't care if you call Pluto a planet. It's fine. It's clearly a *world*, and an incredible one. It's not dynamically in the same as Mercury or Neptune but it's fine, taxonomy is largely for convenience and bookkeeping and its mushy anyway. Many astronomers will agree!

At last, common sense about Pluto.
- It's not like the 8 main planets
- "Dwarf planet" is an awkward term
- Pluto is interesting no matter what we call it. Call it a planet if you like! It'll still be its own thing, the largest (known) of a huge group of bodies beyond Neptune.

The Sokol ("Falcon") spacesuit was designed in the early 1970s to protect cosmonauts during launch, landing, and emergencies. The plugs and tubes extending from the suit connect to life-support systems built into the Soyuz spacecraft.

Roscosmos presentó el emblema oficial de la misión Soyuz MS-29, prevista, como muy pronto, para mediados de septiembre rumbo a la ISS. La tripulación estará integrada por los cosmonautas Pyotr Dubrov, Anna Kikina y el astronauta de la NASA Anil Menon.
