Wkrótce trzy ważne chińskie misje

Trzy chińskie misje planowane na 2020 rok / Credits - Our Space/CLEP

Niedawno pojawiła się grafika prezentująca sprzęt do trzech zbliżających się ważnych chińskich misji kosmicznych. Są to następujące misje:

- Pierwszy lot nowej kapsuły załogowej, obecnie planowany na kwiecień 2020,

- Misja Mars-1/Huoxing-1 – marsjański orbiter oraz łazik, start obecnie planowany na lipiec 2020,

- Misja Chang’e-5 – sprowadzenie próbek materii (“sample-return”) z Księżyca, obecnie planowana na ostatni kwartał 2020.

(...) Co ciekawe, pojawiają się pytania, czy na pokładzie nowego chińskiego pojazdu załogowego znajdą się “tajkonauci” z innych państw. W ostatnich latach pojawiały się informacje o możliwych lotach Europejczyków, Nigeryjczyków oraz Pakistańczyków. Prawdopodobnie więcej informacji zostanie opublikowanych do czasu, gdy rozpocznie się budowa nowej chińskiej stacji kosmicznej.

China's polar-observing satellite completes Antarctic mission

BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- China's first polar-observing satellite has completed its Antarctic observation mission after orbiting Earth for six months.

Since it was launched on Sept. 12, 2019, the satellite called "Ice Pathfinder" (Code: BNU-1) has sent back more than 1,000 images covering the south polar region, according to a statement by its operation team Friday.

It has observed two vast ice collapses in the continent, one occurred on the Amery Ice Shelf on Sept. 25, 2019, and the other on the Pine Island Glacier in February this year. The satellite has provided continuous monitoring of these ice calving events, obtaining key satellite imagery and data, said the operation team leader Chen Zhuoqi, also an associate professor of the School of Geospatial Engineering and Science under the Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou.

Scientists of the satellite project have participated in the country's ongoing 36th Antarctic expedition. Apart from data acquisition of ground features near research base Zhongshan Station, they also used drone technology to do remote sensing research, to support "satellite-drone-ground" synchronous scientific experiments in the Antarctic.

Its data will also be used to study global climate changes and develop Arctic shipping routes, according to Cheng Xiao, lead scientist of the project.

In the past, Chinese scientists conducted polar studies mainly based on data collected by vessels and research stations. The use of remote sensing satellite technology will enable them to monitor and obtain imagery and data of difficult-to-access areas.

"The Ice Pathfinder will rectify China's lack of polar observation data and reduce the country's dependence on imports of the technology," Cheng said.

The polar-observing satellite, with a design life of about one year, weighs only 16 kg. It was initiated by scientists from the Beijing Normal University and developed by Shenzhen Aerospace Dongfanghong Development Ltd.

It is equipped with high-resolution cameras that can achieve full coverage of the Antarctic and Arctic in five days. It also has an automatic identification system for vessels to navigate through parts or the entirety of polar regions.

The operation team will soon release the Antarctic data to support Chinese and international polar research, and the satellite is going to start its first Arctic observation mission.

BEIJING, March 24 (Xinhua) -- A trial version of China's new-generation manned spaceship is being tested at the Wenchang Space Launch Center on the coast of south China's island province of Hainan, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).

The experimental spacecraft is scheduled to launch with no crew in mid to late April on the maiden flight of the Long March-5B carrier rocket, a variant of the Long March-5, China's largest carrier rocket.

The development team is pulling out all the stops for the mission amid the coronavirus pandemic, said the CMSA.

The spacecraft is being developed for the operation of China's space station and future manned space exploration. It will be larger than China's current Shenzhou manned spaceship and reusable.

"The mission will test the key technologies of the new manned spaceship such as the control of its re-entry into the atmosphere, heat shielding and recovery technology," said Yang Qing, a designer of the spacecraft with the China Academy of Space Technology.

The mission will lay the foundation for the development of transport for future astronauts to China's space station, Yang said.

With a length of 8.8 meters and a takeoff weight of 21.6 tonnes, the spaceship will be able to carry six astronauts. It is designed for safety and reliability, and can adapt to multiple tasks.

It will be used in both low-Earth orbit and deep-space exploration. Flight in deep space requires a higher speed, and the structure and the heat shielding performance will be a challenge, said experts.

The development team used new materials and a new structure to make the heat shielding capacity three to four times greater than that of the Shenzhou spacecraft.

The new spacecraft comprises a service capsule and a return capsule. The return capsule is reusable and is expected to be reused around 10 times, making it very economical.

The upcoming mission will also test the landing process with multiple parachutes and airbags for safety.

The new spacecraft could carry a cargo payload up to 500 kg with a crew of three.

China has developed the Tianzhou cargo spacecraft for its space station, but it cannot return to Earth. The new spacecraft could return with cargoes such as scientific experiments samples and products made in space.

W związku ze startem rakiety CZ-3B z 9.03 ukazało się trochę materiałów na temat prób ograniczenia strefy upadku boosterów z użyciem spadochronów. Dzięki temu uda się je szybko znaleźć (w tym przypadku zajęło to 25min zamiast wielu godzin) i nie spadną na żadną wioskę w pobliżu Xichang  . Pracują nad paralotnią dla lepszego sterowania upadkiem.

Głębokie ukłony dla Chińczyków. Tyle różnych projektów kosmicznych na raz robią. Nawet NASA tego nie robiła.
