Kolejna załoga ISS 06.06. o 11:12:39,519 z Bajkonuru wystrzelona została RN Sojuz-FG, która wyniosła na orbitę statek załogowy
Sojuz MS-09. Jego połączenie z ISS nastąpiło 08.06.2018 o 13:01.

(...) Sojuz sterowany przez Prokopiewa przycumował 8 czerwca do modułu Rasswiet o godzinie 15:01 CEST. Po około 90 minutach wyrównaniu ciśnienia oraz sprawdzeniu jakości połączenia między Sojuzem a ISS nowa załoga weszła na pokład stacji. Na pokładzie przywitali ich Amerykanie Drew Feustel oraz Ricky Arnold oraz dowodzący stacją Rosjanin Oleg Artemjew. Później to po nim Alexander Gerst przejmie dowodzenie nad stacją.
Pierwsze duże zadanie dla nowej załogi nastąpi już w nadchodzący czwartek (14.06). Będą wspierali Drewa Feustela oraz Rickego Arnolda podczas spaceru kosmicznego, podczas którego zainstalowane zostaną nowe elementy systemu chłodzenia stacji jak również sprzętu komunikacyjnego, który usprawni cumowanie kapsuł Dragon 2 oraz Starliner. (...) Auñón-Chancellor should be well suited for life aboard the space station. She spent more than nine months in Star City near Moscow supporting medical operations with space station crew members, two months in Antarctica searching for meteorites as part of a scientific expedition and later served as an aquanaut aboard the Aquarius underwater laboratory.
Compared to her past experience, the space station should be downright roomy.
“Funny enough, the space station is as big as a five bedroom house, and I’ve often heard there are whole days that go by where you will not see most of your crew the entire day because they’re working in one section, you’re working in another, and you may catch each other at mealtime,” she said in a pre-flight interview.
“It’s amazing to think that the size fo the space station we have up there right now can support this big family. There’s plenty of room.” (...)
