Odpowiedź z Ardusata odnośnie procesorów i możliwości:
Pytanie: 1. what kind of and how many arduinos will be onboard the ArduSat?
1) The payload board will use ATMega 328 processors, and there will be 10 operational at all times (with some in backup)
Pytanie: 2. do you plan to add any additional RAM memory to your arduinos?
2) No, we'll be using the RAM already available to the Arduinos.
Pytanie: 3. what will be the available memory for user onboard ArduSat? I guess that will be a SD/micro SD card - what will be the writting speed on these cards?
3) There is a 4GB SD card for experiment data, and a 2GB SD card for picture data.
Pytanie: 4. Is it your magnetometer:
https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10619 ?
4) Yes, that's the magnetometer we'll be using.
Pytanie: 5. What is the size (in kb) of the picture taken by the camera?
5) The size depends on the image size and compression ratio you would like (the camera can do digital windowing). Possible resolutions are 1280*1024, 640*480, 320*240, and 160*120. A 640*480 at the default compression ratio would be about 47KB.
Pytanie: 6. Have you registered frequencies of ArduSat operations? What will be the frequency/ies, on which the ArduSat will send signals?
6) We're expecting our license back from the FCC in a week or so, we've applied to use 437.000 MHz for both the uplink and downlink frequencies.
