28.07.2008 w siedzibie firmy Scaled w Mojave miała miejsce publiczna prezentacja White Knight Two (WK2) - pierwszego samolotu o oznaczeniu N348MS przeznaczonego do wynoszenia SpaceShipTwo (SS2).
Pierwszy White Knight Two został nazwany VMS Eve na cześć matki Richarda Bransona.

07.08.2003 wykonany został pierwszy swobodny lot SpaceShipOne z Mikiem Melvillem za sterami i Brianem Binnie, który był pilotem samolotu nośnego White Knight.
SpaceShipOne osiągnął maksymalną prędkość 278 km/h i wysokość 14.33 km.
Lot trwał 9 minut.

Objectives: First glide flight of SpaceShipOne. Results: The space ship was launched at 47,000 feet and 105 knots, 10 nm east of Mojave. Separation was clean and positive with no tendency to roll off or pitch bobble. An initial handling qualities evaluation was very positive, supported close correlation to the vehicle simulator and with that confidence, the first flight test cards were executed as planned. 17.12.2003, w 100. rocznicę lotu braci Wright, odbył się pierwszy lot SpaceShipOne z napędem, który osiągnął prędkość 1,02 Mach z pilotem  Brianem Binniem.
Podczas lądowania pękło przednie koło.

Il y a 20 ans, jour des 100 ans du vol des Frères Wright,  Premier vol motorisé du SpaceShipOne et Premier mur du son à Mach 1.02 avec Brian Binnie..
A l’atterrissage, la roulette avant se casse et SS1 fait un tonneau sans gravité.
