#ASEspotlight: Jack Fischer 💫
ASE member @Astro2fish grinned as he watched liquid from his drink float aboard the @Space_Station in April 2017.
Fun fact: He worked for his family's construction business while he was growing up!
Happy birthday, Jack! 🎉

When I turned 17 I was a 79lb, 5 foot giant of a man. I wasn't the fastest, I wasn't the smartest, and I certainly wasn't the biggest, but I could out-work anyone. You don't have to know your dreams right now, you just have to be ready for and seize the opportunities you are given. If you don't work hard, if you don't take what you've been given and make something out of it, then you won't accomplish anything.

7 Years ago I hung up my spacesuit and left NASA with my heart full of gratitude and my eyes still fixed on the stars. Landing at @Int_Machines has allowed me to continue working with an incredible group of people that think outside of the box, push the limits of possibility and get stuff done!

I've never been the most flexible guy, but boy I was not prepared for how shockingly un-flexible I was after coming back to Earth. Things are just so effortless in microgravity that by the time you get back everything takes a Herculean effort. The first few days are like being the tin man after a rainstorm, you're literally fighting through every movement.
