🏆 After @PSG_inside, @wemby, @UBBrugby, and while waiting for the World Cup, France's winning streak extends into space! 🚀🇫🇷 Announcement this week of two French space missions in 2027:
🛰️ For @Arno_astro, the latest addition to the field ⚽: two weeks on a prototype station paving the way for the successor to the ISS (after 2032). A test and research flight, toward the world's first private station! His background as a flight test engineer and pilot is ideal.
👨🚀 For me, the command role, handed over for the first time in 65 years to a non-American 🇫🇷, of an American capsule or shuttle and its international crew 🌍: the @SpaceX 🚀 Crew Dragon, for two weeks of research aboard the ISS. The goal: maximize the return on investment in research before the station's end!
💪 About a year of intense training awaits us both… a sprint 🏃♂️, rather than a marathon, and two major firsts that showcase France's 🇫🇷 standing in space exploration.
🤝 With @Soph_astro on board, and thanks to our space engineers, researchers, and teachers, France will have a unique complementary team of astronauts in Europe to tackle all future missions, in orbit around the Earth 🌍 or toward the Moon! 🌕
😅PS: As an adopted Toulousain, and with Arnaud being a Marseillais, that first sentence stings a bit for both of us—no hard feelings…
🤩Can't wait to see Earth from on high again and share the adventure.

[English below]🔺🔺🔺 As announced this morning: the pyramids! 😉
✈️ Last day of the AMUN exercise and return to base (or rather the bases) for the @Armee_de_lair
aviators, after 40 days of deployment and a real world tour 🌍 that saw them operate in 9 different environments, from the coldest 🥶 (Greenland and Alaska) to the hottest ☀️ (Egypt, India, Indonesia, Qatar) passing through Japan, Korea, and Réunion. 🇫🇷
🚀 Like a long-haul space mission, we're happy to be back and it takes some time to measure the journey covered! 🏠
