The #Artemis II Orion spacecraft is equipped with four solar arrays, built by engineers from @AirbusSpace in the Netherlands. Installed on the European Service Module, these solar arrays are essential for providing power for Orion and its crew as they travel to the Moon and back on this historic mission.

The solar wings were installed a first time ahead of a crucial acoustic test, the Direct Field Acoustic Testing (DFAT), in May 2023, which simulates the intense vibrations of launch. Connecting the solar arrays for this test was necessary to understand how the spacecraft’s entire structure responds to these conditions. After testing, the wings were removed. For Artemis IV onwards, more representative simulations are being developed which could help engineers test Orion without repeated installation and removal of the solar arrays.

🌍 The record of 400 171 km was previously held by the Apollo 13 mission 🌕.

W trakcie dzisiejszego dnia (FD8) załoga po raz ostatni miała "trening" - jutro większość czasu zajmie już przygotowywanie kabiny (oraz samych astronautów) do lądowania. Wyczytałem, że na czas dzisiejszego treningu panele Oriona zostały odpowiednio ustawione, aby nie doszło do ich uszkodzenia w skutek wibracji (w trakcie realizacji ćwiczeń przez astronautów)

✅ #Artemis II update: ‘Earthrise 2026’, or rather ‘Earthset’. Just after this view was seen on the livefeed, Orion and its crew reached their farthest point from Earth, 406 772 km away. They are now on their way home, set on the free return trajectory by our European Service Module🚀

⛽ Mission control confirms the tank pressure in the European Service Module is good, as well as the position of the four solar array wings ☀️.

3) EveryWear  to aplikacja  wspomagająca badania medyczne i ludzkie  , używana od  prawie dekady na ISS . 
Astronauci używają jej  do rejestrowania swojego odżywiania i przyjmowania leków, wypełniania   kwestionariuszy medycznych i badawczych ,  komunikacji z szeroką gamą  czujników , prywatnej komunikacji z medykami pokładowymi na ziemi, a  w niektórych przypadkach  do rejestrowania danych związanych z eksperymentami.   
Oprogramowanie  zostało opracowane przez  MEDES,  francuski instytut  medycyny  kosmicznej  i  fizjologii ,  dla CNES.
Jest ono powszechnie stosowane, w tym podczas misji Artemis II.
