Czemu to zła informacja?

Europa w ten sposób nie zwiększa swojej konkurencyjności, a ostatnio ESA ostrzegała przed monopolami w obliczu zbliżającej się fuzji firm. To tak jakby połączenie Lockheed i Boeing, aby stworzyć firmę kosmiczną, która ma ogromne opóźnienia czyli ULA.

Launch pad for Russian rockets dismantled in French Guiana

A launch pad in French Guiana, formerly used for launching Russian Soyuz rockets, has been dismantled. The European Space Agency removed the main elements of the complex, including the 52-meter service tower, which was destroyed by explosion. Prior to this, key launch pad structures — supports that held the rocket before launch, and auxiliary masts — were cut, according to The Moscow Times.

The remaining infrastructure, such as technical buildings, railway, and fuel storage systems, is planned to be transferred to the French company MaiaSpace. It will use these facilities for launching a new rocket, with its first launches expected in 2027. (...)

(...) MaiaSpace also still prints on Russian paper called Snegurochka. Its pale blue packaging features snowy landscapes, which appear incongruous compared to the jungle surrounding the building.

Outside, the hulking infrastructure is now a testament to a long-gone era of space cooperation.

The metal arms that once held rockets on the launchpad are still standing. Ironically, they are painted in blue and yellow -- the colours of Ukraine. But they will be discarded during the redevelopment of the site. (...)

23.07.2026 hiszpański rząd ogłosił stan wyjątkowy z powodu rozprzestrzeniania się się kilku dużych pożarów w prowincji Ávila i sąsiednim Madrycie.
Naziemna stacja DSA 2 (Deep Space Antenna 2) zlokalizowana 77 km na zachód od Madrytu była narażona na żywioł.
Pozostałe stacje ESA Deep Space znajdują się w Australii i Argentynie.

Based on current information, the Cebreros station appears to have remained unharmed. My deepest thanks go to the Spanish emergency services whose efforts helped protect the site as wildfires approached.

The safety of our people remains my highest priority. All ESA workforce is safe and accounted for, although many colleagues continue to be affected by the wider emergency situation. I keep you all in my thoughts.

We remain in close contact with the relevant authorities as the situation continues to evolve. As always, I will keep my workforce and the public informed. Please keep safe.

Extreme heat and subsequent wildfires are the clearest indication that our climate is changing. I pledge to continue to advocate for increased monitoring and understanding of our planet.

2) Szef ESA uspokaja.
27.07.2026 antena uzyskała status ZIELONY, co umożliwi jej nominalne działanie.
Obecność na miejscu będzie ograniczona do minimum, zgodnie z obowiązującymi w regionie ograniczeniami.

My teams have completed all necessary checks and testing of the Cebreros station. After careful review, we have declared the antenna GREEN for nominal operations as of 27 July.

Onsite presence will be kept to a minimum, in accordance with restrictions in the area. I sincerely hope that the situation in the area returns to normal as soon as possible, and that everyone affected remains safe during this challenging period.

Once again, I’d like to thank my workforce, local authorities and first responders on the ground.

3) Najnowsze zdjęcia satelitarne z Sentinel-2 z 26.07.2026 pokazują obiecujące sygnały wokół stacji naziemnej Cebreros, gdzie aktywność pożarów lasów ustała.
Stacja ponownie działa, jednak sytuacja pozostaje trudna.

Latest Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite imagery from 26 July shows some encouraging signs around the Cebreros ground station, where wildfire activity has subsided. Operations at the station are active again, however the situation remains challenging. The extensive burn scar (shown in brown-red) still contains smaller active fires, while more intense fire activity persists to the south. 

The European Union’s Copernicus Emergency Mapping Service (CEMS) has been activated in central Spain. This service uses satellite imagery and other geospatial data to produce free, rapid-response maps for disaster situations worldwide, providing access to vital tools that help emergency organisations coordinate their response, support recovery and plan for future risks.
