Na Twitterze przetoczyła się dyskusja na temat sposobu liczenia, to znaczy, czy gap pomiędzy Apollem (ASTP) a Columbią liczyć między startem Apolla a startem Columbii (co daje 2098 dni liczonych od 15 lipca 1975), czy liczyć między lądowaniem Apolla a startem Columbii (co daje 2089 dni liczonych od 24 lipca 1975).
W obu sposobach liczenia gap i tak już został powiększony (5 lub 9 kwietnia - na odpowiedzialność Excela).

Pozwolę sobie zacytować jednego tweeta: However you math the math, it’s still depressing.

21 lipca minęło 6 lat od zakończenia misji.
Czy wtedy byli pesymiści uważający, że tak długo nie będzie załogowych startów z Ameryki ?
Dwoje astronautów tamtej misji jest już poza NASA, ale nadal są powiązani z sektorem kosmicznym.

Trump would also name the three male astronauts without mentioning Magnus — an omission quickly noticed in the wider space community.

Magnus didn't seem put out, though. The next morning she wrote she had attended the ceremony as executive director of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and hadn't been wearing a NASA uniform like two of the men.

Il y a 10 ans, la navette Atlantis s'envole pour sa 33ème et dernière mission, mission STS-135.
C'est la fin du programme Navette Spatiale (1981-2011).
C'est la dernière navette spatiale à voler.

Flanking the lawn were a number of tents. Boeing was on hand with their new CST-100 crew capsule, a seven-seat design that's being developed by the private sector. A mockup of the internal configuration was split in half. Nestled next to it was a prototype of the pressure shell, made from just two pieces of spun aluminum bolted together—according to Boeing, the lack of welds should make gaining manned flight certification a much quicker process.
