Congrats to Jack Schmitt, who turns 90 OTD. Selected to NASA in 1965 (Group 4), he was the LMP on Apollo 17 in Dec 1972, the 11th man to walk on the Moon & to date the only geologist to have done so. After leaving NASA in 1975, he served as a Senator from New Mexico (1977-1983).
