Test pilot 1st class Anatoly Polonsky turns 68 OTD (b. 1956). In 1987 he was shortlisted for Buran training (1989 candidate GKNII-3) & completed OKP basic cosmonaut training between 1989-1991. He never flew in space, leaving the team in 1991 to resume his test piloting career.
Former test pilot Anatoly Sokovykh turns 80 OTD (b. 1944). Selected for cosmonaut training in 1978 (GKNII-1, Buran candidates). (1979-80) OKP training; (1985) suspended from team due to his connection with a flying accident; resumed test pilot work; (1999) retired, in reserves.
Former physician cosmonaut Alexander Borodin turns 71 OTD (b.1953). Selected 1978 (IMBP-2); no spaceflight experience; (1979-80) OKP basic training; (1988) research doctor on 3rd (Reserve) crew, with Yuri Malyshev, Soyuz TM-6 (Mir EO-3/4); (1993) left team & IMBP for another job.
Natalia Kuleshova turns 68 today (b. 1956). Selected 1980 (NPOE-5) no spaceflights. (1981) OKP basic training; was the original CR 2nd BUp crew (support) Soyuz T-7 but medically stood down; (1987) Mir training group; (1992) stood down from team; resumed work at NPO Energia.

More interested in his academic studies than flying in space, he left the team in Jan 1966 to resume his AF career & was replaced by Vasily Lazarev.
