Group 2 (1982) MSE trained as a potential DoD Payload Specialist & shortlisted (1985 & 87) as a candidate Shuttle PS but not assigned. After the MSE program, he returned to USAF duties, including support of STS-39 DoD payload elements.

Assigned to fly on STS-62B until Apr 1986, cancelled in the wake of the Challenger accident. Briefly considered for STS-27, she returned to her USAF career.

Selected in the UK Skynet group in 1984, he was in PS training for STS-71C as BUp to Peter Longhurst RN until 1986 when the programme was cancelled following the loss of Challenger.
Congrats to Neil Woodward BTD 1962. Selected 1998 NASA Group 17 ("The Penguins"). No spaceflights. (1998-2000) Ascan training; Cape Crusader KSC; (2004-2008) Exploration Systems Mission Directorate NASA HQ; (2008) Retd NASA & as Cdr USN; works in the information technology field.
Congrats to Livingston "Livvy" Holder BTD 1956. Selected for the USAF Manned Space Flight Engineer Program (1982); (1982-1988) MSE STS training; (1988) retired USAF & entered the private sector; Boeing's X-33 Program Manager; currently aerospace consultant.
