Their research will focus on human health and performance in space, including exercises designed to maintain muscle and bone health in microgravity. Additionally, the crew plans to cultivate fungi in a near-zero-gravity environment and investigate a phenomenon known as Strong Thermal Emission Velocity Enhancement (STEVE), which appears as a luminous band of hot plasma at altitudes between 400 and 500 kilometers.

Die Robotik- und Polarforscherin Rabea Rogge ist als erste deutsche Frau ins All gestartet. Die 29-Jährige ist Teil der vierköpfigen Crew der privat finanzierten Polarmission "Fram2". Am Montagabend flog das Team um 21:46 (Ortszeit, Dienstag 03.46 Uhr MESZ) vom Kennedy Space Center der US-Weltraumbehörde NASA los.

During their first day on-orbit, the @framonauts got to work on their research activities, including a study on how human cognition adapts to the spaceflight environment within the first few hours of reaching space.
Amateur Ham radio enthusiasts in Berlin and across Europe communicated with @rprogge as part of Fram2Ham.
The crew also completed the first initial @Starlink tests on-orbit!
