Ingenuity made its FIRST FLIGHT 5 years ago today
Ingenuity made its first flight on 19 April 2021, demonstrating that flight is possible in the extremely thin atmosphere of Mars, and became the first aircraft to conduct a powered and controlled extraterrestrial flight.

Designed for 5 flights. Flew 72. First powered flight on another planet — April 19, 2021. The Wright Brothers' first flight lasted 12 seconds and covered 37 meters. Ingenuity's first Martian flight lasted 39 seconds and climbed 3 meters. History doesn't repeat. It rhymes across planets.
