Udany test Starshipa
  24.07. o 22:51 z wyrzutni B kompleksu Starbase OLP (Pad 2) w Boca Chica wystartowała do trzynastego lotu testowego (IFT-13) rakieta Super Heavy/Starship (B20/S40).
Pierwszy stopień wpadł do Zatoki Meksykańskiej (nie powiodło się końcowe wyzerowanie prędkości),
drugi osiągnął nietrwałą orbitę, wyrzucił z ładowni 20 satelitów Starlink v3 i w T+65' zwodował na Oceanie Indyjskim.

W tym przypadku nie nazwałbym ich satelitami, skoro nie dokonały ani jednego pełnego obiegu Ziemi.
Na opublikowanie zdjęć osłony S-40 z suborbity trzeba będzie jeszcze poczekać.

255km traveled, 92 hours since touchdown. 1,002km from Indonesia and 1,145km from Australia. Still no clear indication of a recovery plan but there have been a few brief periods of active maneuvering around the still-drifting Starship. No other outbound vessels to the site. Though, they are about to drift into the middle of a shipping lane so that's fun

It will not explode because all of the menthame fuel left in the header tank was drained out and burned off , as soon it was out side the ship it caught fire and that you saw  on film was the fire of the menthame burning  on top of the water causing little damage to the ship and the liquid oxygen will burn off to a gas no danger at all .as the star ship is well built and the engine part is sealed off from the rest of the ship it is airtight , for human survival , the valves used for cold gas steering are closed off after 4 days and 100miles drifting it will float

Both V3 booster boostbacks ended prematurely—Flight 12 due to widespread relight failures and an energetic event shortly after partial ignition, Flight 13 after initial full 33-engine thrust before an early software-aborted shutdown.

How much does empty starship weigh?

I’m thinking but unsure: isn’t it light (relatively and not counting the engines) like a very big empty aluminum soda can?  Seems if they can hook up an air compressor to keep it pressurized somehow they could lift onto ship with modest size crane.  Don’t need monster sized crane others suggested.   Or drag onto stern of ship with cable and hope for the best as all that scraping and grinding happens.   I would think priority would be keeping heat tiles intact and doesn’t matter if rest of ship gets trashed in recovery.  thoughts?

Somewhere between 160 -170 metric tons, I wouldn’t expect them needing to increase the pressure on the ship, if they would they would have another problem on their hands
