USSF-153 (oznaczona także jako R-2) to misja dla amerykańskich Sił Kosmicznych (United States Space Force), w ramach której ładunek zostanie wyniesiony na niską orbitę okołoziemską (LEO).
Misja jest tajna, ale wszystko wskazuje na to, że na szczycie rakiety znajdzie się ok. 20 satelitów zbudowanych w ramach prowadzonej przez SpaceX inicjatywy Starshield, której celem jest wykorzystanie technologii Starlink na rzecz bezpieczeństwa narodowego. Z dużym prawdopodobieństwem są one elementem budowanej przez Siły Kosmiczne konstelacji zapewniającej łączność oraz pozwalającej na śledzenie statków powietrznych z orbity.

https://spacex.com.pl/misja/ussf-153SpaceX is targeting Thursday, September 10 for a Falcon 9 launch of the USSF-153 mission from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The three-hour launch window opens at 8:37 a.m. PT. If needed, there is a backup opportunity on Friday, September 11 at 8:23 a.m. PT.
This will be the 27th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew-7, CRS-29, PACE, Transporter-10, EarthCARE, NROL-186, Transporter-13, TRACERS, NROL-48, COSMO-SkyMED Second Generation FM3, and 16 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship, which will be stationed in the Pacific Ocean.

SpaceX' next launch from SLC-4E will be another Starshield launch! Scheduled for NET September 10th at 15:37 UTC, the mission is designated USSF-153 or R-2 and likely is the 2nd of 18 scheduled by the end of 2027 for the USSF's Space Based Sensing and Targeting (SBST) portfolio
