The roads are closed and launch operations are underway! Currently they don't yet list the mission name and targeted T-0 on their launch safety page.

Currently, hazard area's for an Electron launch out of LC-1 tomorrow from 01:30-04:20 UTC are active, so Rocket Lab appears to be preparing to launch less then 12 hours from now. I'm expecting an update once the sun rises in New Zealand in a few hours, but this smells of BlackSky

They really don't announce anything until the last minute… I'm leaning BlackSky too. The missing T-0 this close to launch is unusual though.

MISSION SUCCESS: Rocket Lab Launches 95th Electron Mission

Mahia, New Zealand. September 11, 2026: Rocket Lab Corporation (Nasdaq: RKLB), a global leader in launch services and space systems, today launched its 16th Electron rocket of the year with a dedicated mission for a confidential customer.

The “Happily Ever Faster” mission lifted off from Rocket Lab Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand at 3:28 p.m. NZST and successfully deployed a single Earth observation satellite to a 500km circular low Earth orbit.

“Happily Ever Faster” is Rocket Lab’s 16th launch of the year and 95th launch overall. Rocket Lab’s next Electron launch is scheduled to take place from Launch Complex 1 for another commercial constellation operator before the end of the month. As global launch availability continues to strain the market, Electron’s regular and reliable launch cadence provides schedule certainty and dedicated access to space for satellite operators of the industry’s next-generation constellations.

13. start orbitalny RN Electron w 2026.
2. start orbitalny RN Electron we 09.2026.
2. start orbitalny RN Electron z satelitą Gen-3 w 2026.

$BKSY's fifth Gen-3 satellite attained first light imagery in hours after launch, significantly outpacing industry standards to expand constellation capacity and decision-making speed for our customers.

Our rapid commissioning operations unlock scarce, very high-resolution imaging capacity as global demand for responsive, tactical space‑based intelligence accelerates.

Taken at 7:25 a.m. local time on September 12, 2026, the first light Gen-3 image displays H-6 bombers through early morning haze at an air base near Nanning, China, showcasing the tactical-level clarity of the new spacecraft and the power of rapidly deployed AI-enabled analytics.

BlackSky has announced the first light of their 5th Gen-3 satellite. This lines up with it being the confidential payload Rocket Lab launched on their "Happily Ever Faster" mission a few days ago. Another Gen-3 satellite is scheduled to launch before the end of the month.

One thing that's interesting to note is that the satellite is cataloged as FM-6, while it's the 5th launched. This probably explains why BlackSky originally announced their next satellite was ready to ship in May, but launch then didn't happen, so an issue was likely discovered.
