Let's do it again!
A week after successfully launching our fifth Atlas V rocket for Amazon Leo, ULA ground crews have begun preparing for the Leo 6 mission. We will be launching another 29 advanced broadband satellites into space for our customer using the Atlas V 551 rocket later this month.

The ULA Launch Readiness Review is GO to continue preps for launch of Atlas V with our sixth Amazon Leo constellation mission. Liftoff is planned for Monday, at 8:52 p.m. EDT (0052 UTC) from Cape Canaveral. Early weather forecast is 75% favorable.

The evening launch will be visible from Florida to New England, if weather conditions in your area permit. This visibility map shows when and where your best chances are to see the rocket as it streaks northeasterly into space.

ULA will offer live reports from launch control in our automatically refreshing blog beginning at 5:45 p.m. EDT (2145 UTC). The launch livestream starts at 20 minutes before liftoff.

United Launch Alliance has initiated the countdown for launch of our sixth Atlas V 551 rocket to advance the Amazon Leo broadband constellation.

But this countdown is unlike Atlas V launches you are accustomed to. Over the next 18 hours, we will move the 20-story rocket from the Vertical Integration Facility (VIF) to the pad, perform all of the necessary testing, load propellant and launch the mission.

This is part of ULA's efforts to increase launch day efficiency and maximize launch opportunities while continuing our commitment to Amazon Leo. It increases launch cadence by reducing the amount of time that the rocket spends at the pad.

Tonight's launch time is 8:52 p.m. EDT (0052 UTC) from Cape Canaveral. The weather forecast has improved to 85% GO.

ULA's Roll & Preps Crew moved the Atlas V 551 rocket to Space Launch Complex-41 this morning to deliver Amazon's next 29 broadband satellites into space later tonight. Liftoff time is 8:52 p.m. EDT (0052 UTC).
ULA is proceeding with a continuous roll-and-launch in a single-day countdown, part of our efforts to increase launch cadence for our @AmazonLeo customer. This effort reduces the amount of time the rocket spends at the pad, enabling launch to occur sooner.

Atlas V rolled from the VIF to the pad at SLC-41 with another 29-satellite Leo payload, exactly 23 days after our last mission with @ULAlaunch. Leo Atlas 6 (LA-06) is scheduled to liftoff tonight, Apr 27, at 8:52 p.m. ET.

ULA is using a streamlined roll-to-launch flow for this mission, with rollout, testing, fueling, and liftoff all within a single countdown. The process helps enable a faster turnaround between missions, allowing for a higher launch cadence as we prepare to transition from Atlas V to Vulcan.

We’re now on the second of four back-to-back Leo launches on Atlas V, building steady momentum as we expand our constellation.

Atlas V fueling is underway with cryogenic propellants for today's Amazon Leo 6 launch. Atlas and Centaur propulsion console operators here at ULA's Launch Control Center are performing the steps to command the pad systems to begin flowing 66,000 gallons of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen in the rocket over the next 90 minutes. Weather forecast is 80% favorable to launch at 8:52 p.m. EDT (0052 UTC).

Just 45 minutes remain until liftoff of the next satellites for Amazon Leo.
This Atlas V, designated AV-112, is a two-stage rocket that incorporates five GEM 63 solid rocket boosters, features a single RL10C-1-1 engine on the Centaur upper stage and encapsulates the spacecraft in a 5.4-meter-diameter (17.7-foot) payload fairing.

United Launch Alliance has successfully completed today's launch of the Amazon Leo 6 mission by the Atlas V rocket! All 29 advanced broadband satellites have been released into low Earth orbit, matching the venerable rocket family's record for the largest and heaviest payload ever launched.

Atlas V has delivered a total of 168 Amazon spacecraft into orbit through a total of seven successful flights -- Protoflight and six launches for the Leo constellation.

Next up, Leo 7 with another 29 satellites, is planned for May 22.

Update April 27, 9:30 p.m. EDT (0130 UTC): ULA confirmed deployment of the 29 Amazon Leo satellites.

(...) On board the Atlas 5 rocket was a batch of 29 Amazon Leo satellites. This will be ULA’s sixth flight delivering production versions of the broadband internet satellites to orbit and its seventh overall, including the two demo satellites launched on the Protoflight mission in October 2023. (...)

The LA-06 mission came about 23 day and 19 hours after the last Atlas V launch at pad 41. ULA’s previous turnaround record at this site was 26 days, 5 hours, 19 minutes.

The LA-06 mission will bring the Amazon Leo constellation up to a total of 270 satellites on orbit. This is the 10th launch overall for the constellation, including three flights on SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets and one flight on an Arianespace Ariane 64 rocket.

The initial Amazon Leo constellation will contain more than 3,200 satellites.
