20.10.1995 został wykonany pierwszy spacer astronauty ESA z udziałem Thomasa Reitera podczas misji Euro Mir '95.
Drugim uczestnikiem tego spaceru był Siergiej Wasiljewicz Awdiejew.
EVA trwała 5h 11m ( wg innych danych: 05h 16m).

2) 16.04.1999 1. EVA z W.Afanasjewem i JP Haigneré (06:19) w kombinezonie Orlana.
Jean-Pierre Haigneré osobiście wysłał Sputnika-99, po czym na zewnętrznych ścianach stacji zainstalowano nowe eksperymenty, a stare odzyskano.

09.12.1988 Jean-Loup Chrétien jako pierwszy kosmonauta spoza ZSRR i USA uczestniczył w EVA.
Wtedy był to nowy rekord czasu trwania spaceru kosmicznego.

Před 35 lety proběhl první mezinárodní výstup do volného kosmického prostoru. Alexandr Volkov a Jean-Loup Chrétien vystoupili společně z kosmické stanice Mir v 09:57 SEČ a jejich výstup ve skafandrech Orlan MDA trval 5 hodin a 57 minut (podle jiných zdrojů přesně 6 hodin).

#OTD 9 December 1988, @cnes.bsky.social astronaut Jean-Loup Chrétien became the first European to make a spacewalk during his #Aragatz mission. Chrétien and crewmate Alexander Volkov spent six hours outside the Russian Mir space station, the longest EVA at the time.

22.03.1995 o 05:03:50 CET powrócił na Ziemię lądownik Sojuza TM-20.
Walerij Władimirowicz Polakow został 3. człowiekiem, który odbył co najmniej roczny lot kosmiczny podczas drugiego lotu kosmicznego o takim wymiarze.

Completing a flight of 169+d the DM of Soyuz TM-20 landed OTD 1995 about 50 km from Arkalyk in Kazakhstan. On board were Mir EO-17's Cdr Aleksandr Viktorenko & FE Yelena Kondakova, together with Dr Valeri Polyakov ending a 437+d mission across 3 expeditions (EO-15, -16 & -17).

20.05.1995 o 03:33 z wyrzutni LC-81/23 kosmodromu Bajkonur została wystrzelona RN Proton-K, która wyniosła na orbitę o parametrach: hp=221 km, ha=335 km, i=51,68º moduł Spektr.
Połączył się on ze stacją orbitalną Mir 01.06.1995   o 00:56:16.
Był to piąty moduł stacji kosmicznej Mir przeznaczony do zdalnej obserwacji środowiska ziemskiego, wyposażonego także w cztery panele słoneczne, które generowały około połowy energii elektrycznej stacji.

Mir's Spektr module, designed to study Earth's environment,  launched OTD 1995. The converted military module docked (-Y port) on 1 Jun. In Jun 1997 it was damaged by Progress M-34 rendering it unusable. Cables were later connected to draw electrical power from the solar arrays.

To już 25 lat.
(1/17) 23.03.2001 radziecko-rosyjska modułowa stacja kosmiczna Mir rozpadła się w atmosferze Ziemi.
Był to pierwszy i jak dotąd ostatni kontrolowany rozpad tak masywnego sztucznego obiektu kosmicznego.
Ostatnie przygotowania do deorbitacji stacji rozpoczęły się wczesnym rankiem 22.03.2001.
