Katastrofa CZ-7A
10.08. o 12:02 z Wenchang wystrzelona została RN CZ-7A, która miała wynieść na orbitę satelitę Zhongxing-4B.
W T+88 sekund, w fazie MaxQ, rakieta rozłamała się pomiędzy drugim a trzecim stopniem i eksplodowała.

Seems like not engine problem  Long March 7A

Waking up to see the loss of a Long March 7A. Really unexpected.

And more importantly we got this video, which pretty much rules out an engine problem. Given this happens around Max-Q this is likely a structural load problem under wind shear, far from the 1st time this happened w/ CALT with their 2 infamous Long March 2E failures in the 1990s.

This video on the other hand seems to indicate one of the booster’s engine going out just before the explosion, but this by itself is not going to tell if this is an upstream or downstream effect. https://bilibili.com/video/BV145uo6aEDo

Structure failure around the interstage of 2nd - 3rd when hitting Max-Q. RUD first then FTS triggered. At least the YF-100 looks fine.

Some say it encountered wind share causing the rocket snapped from the midde

Jeffery骞 @JefferyK_EntH·10h
afaik control problem causing vehicle to pitch over AoA and causing structural failure

One of China’s workhorse rockets just exploded in flight
Eric Berger – 10 sie 2026 17:05

If the failure involved the YF-100 engine, there are broader concerns for China’s space program.

One of China’s most used rockets, the Long March 7A, exploded a little more than a minute after lifting off on Monday evening, local time.

The medium-lift rocket’s payload was classified, but it was believed to be a military communications satellite. The rocket’s liftoff from Wenchang Space Launch Site appeared to be nominal, but publicly captured videos (such as this one) showed that the rocket’s first stage exploded about 1 minute and 20 seconds into flight. WENCHANG, Hainan, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- A satellite launch mission using a modified Long March-7 carrier rocket failed on Monday in south China.

The rocket was tasked with carrying the Zhongxing-4B satellite. It blasted off at 8:02 p.m. (Beijing Time) at the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in the island province of Hainan, but an anomaly occurred during its flight.

The cause of the failure is under investigation, according to the launch site. ■
